There is a Memorandum of Understanding between the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the TUM-IAS to provide mutual support and assistance for their activities at the TUM considering that both institutions are involved in promoting advanced research through the nomination of fellows, guest professors and other awardees. This also includes the assistance by TUM-IAS staff in the organization of activities such as conferences, workshops and meetings as well as providing the necessary facilities, however, without the benefit package of an Hans Fischer Senior Fellowship. Alexander von Humboldt Awardees are eligible to apply for support within the TUM-IAS start-up program.
The TUM-IAS welcomes the Humboldt Professors as Honorary Fellows and members of the TUM-IAS community.
