Computational Design Synthesis: Summer Camp
In cooperation with the Institute for Advanced Study at the Technical University of Munich
Date: 1st to 5th of August, 2011
Location: TUM Institute for Advanced Study, Lichtenbergstr. 2 a, 85748 Garching
Directions
Join along with other researchers in a week-long educational and research intensive workshop on the foundations and practical challenges of Computational Design Synthesis.
The Institute for Advanced Study at the Technical University of Munich along with Prof. Kristina Shea and TUM-IAS Hans Fischer Senior Fellow Prof. Matthew Campbell (Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Texas at Austin) are seeking qualified, open-minded, and hard-working researchers to participate in the first workshop organized specifically under the topic of Computational Design Synthesis.
The format of the week is a deep-dive into various methods and algorithms used across the domain. Participants will be organized into teams to address challenge-problems, and the results of those challenge problems will be presented by participants at the International Conference on Engineering Design (ICED ’11 www.iced11.org).
