Dr. Lee received an undergraduate degree (2009) in mechanical engineering from the Yonsei University in Korea and completed a Ph.D. degree (2016) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in the USA for Mode Coupling Analysis in the Ultra-Precision Manufacturing Machines. After graduation, she worked for 2.5 years as a senior researcher in the department of ultra-precision machines and systems at the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials in Korea. In February 2019, Dr. Lee was appointed as an assistant professor of mechanical and manufacturing engineering at the University of Calgary in Canada.
